Yesterday was another successful day of two halves.

Once again, the morning was spent doing admin and chores. I did my daily job search but didn’t fancy any. They’re all far too poorly paid at the moment – $100 to edit a book of 125,000 words? I don’t think so.

It would take me 25 hours just to read that, solid, let alone edit it. First of all, double the time. Then that $100 needs at least another zero on the end, and even then it’s still not the going rate.

I did some Monkey Dust admin for the poet, and I applied to do two more assignments on Friday. Fridays always used to be my errands day, so while I’m out anyway, I may as well maximise my time if I can – and cover the cost of parking …

Then I did some more work on the Cadbury book and I calculated how many more words I had to write over how many days I have left.

This morning it was more of the same, but my applications for those assignments were both accepted and assigned.

Yes, yes, I know I’m supposed to be getting rid of the Cadbury book at the moment, but I also need to earn some money at least. And I need to get into the habit of having just one errand day a week again too.

This afternoon I’ll carry on with the Cadbury book.
