Friday 1 May 2026: Hello, May!

In future, the month ahead post will be on the second working day of the month rather than the first working day month. This is to accommodate a more accurate word-count figure for the previous month’s wrap-up post on the first working day of the new month.

It’s possible we may be moving house in May, although it’s more likely to be June, in my opinion. Nevertheless, I’ve planned for a packed month. Jobs towards the end of the month will be moved to the following month if possible.

My reading half-hour has gone back to a reading hour, and the dirty cuppa has been reinstated at the top of the day. If I get up on time, I’ll have it on time. But if the dog lets me have a lie in, I’ll incorporate my dirty cuppa into my reading hour.

So, after some thought, here’s how May is looking at the moment:

  1. Happy Anniversary! Continued joy and adventures together!

Sounds like a good May. I’m already looking forward to Memorial Day Weekend, where I’m going to do a whole lotta nothing! Even though it’s three weeks away. Good luck on the packing.

  2. Happy Anniversary! A house move, possibly, so exciting and stressful at the same time, good luck
