Yesterday seems like quite a while ago, probably because it was a busy day.
Much of the day for me was taken up with writing. I even had a stunted flylady hour because I knew time was of the essence, so that consisted of another quick flick-and-fling. I fed and watered the garden birds and I picked up windfall apples and pears.
But the rest of what time I had left was writing today’s submission for 12 stories in 12 months. Once I’ve posted that today, I’ll go in and remove the oldest story on there, so that my stories don’t hang around for more than 3 months.
The afternoon was filled with appointments. We had one appointment together and the poet had a business meeting too. The car needed filling up as well on the way, so we left early.
While he went in for his meeting, I sat and worked in the car. The promised heatwave hadn’t yet materialised and it was cool enough with all the windows open. By the time he came out again, though, it was starting to get warm.
When we got back, I spent some more time on the new story. It needed to be 1,500 words, and I got it to just under 1,100 words. I need to get that done first today, and then I’m preparing a new newsletter…

It does look pretty and cheerful! Good for you, getting work done in the car.
I am sick and tired of how much time is wasted with “appointments.”
Yeah, they took out the entire afternoon and today I’m playing catchup. They’re easier to fit in now, though, with me working on fewer projects at a time.
