He Will Find You by Diane Jeffrey

Many thanks to both NetGalley and to HQ Digital for letting me see an advance reader’s copy of He Will Find You. Apologies for the delay. (I’ve been catching up!)

This is the first story I’ve read by Diane Jeffrey, and I’d like to read another. Once I got over the naïvety of the main character, I found it to be a gripping, fast-paced read with lots of twists and turns.

The naïvety I think was Kaitlin leaving her boyfriend and travelling from one end of the country to another to be with her one-night stand to whom she has fallen pregnant. While that in itself could be down to hormones, I was a bit annoyed at her for cheating on her boyfriend in the first place.

I think that’s good, because it means the character came to life for me.

The ending was a bit far-fetched and could have ended a lot sooner. I have no idea why they all did what they did instead of calling the police, and that spoilt it a teensy bit.

But I did enjoy it and I wish I’d got around to it much sooner.

Four stars.
