… and removed from Amazon KDP.
Only the ebook is available at the moment – or it will be once it’s been through the process. The paperback will follow, and that, in turn, will be followed by the audio book.
I’ve been meaning to transfer all of my own books from Amazon to Draft2Digital for such a long time. I finally decided to do it when I realised D2D were now printing paperbacks on demand.
The first thing I had to do was go in and remove all of my ebooks from Amazon KDP as they’re a bit fussy about not having exclusivity.
Then I designed a new cover in Canva – and a back cover for the paperback version.
The next thing I had to do was find out how to format the book for epub and mobi in Scrivener. And because I managed to do that, uploading the book to D2D was seamless.
I had one or two teething issues, such as the cover image didn’t work and I had to overide Scrivener wanting to put all of its own titles and headers in. But … I got there in the end.
I won’t be issuing all of the books in one burst. Titles, e-versions, paperbacks and audio versions will all be staggered. But I have the templates now – my own templates – and I’m looking forward to the next phase.
I’ll share the link as soon as it’s ready.
EDIT: HERE is the link.
Well done, this looks wonderful. Good luck with it all.
Thank you! You reminded me to go in and add the book page link. 😉
I have my uses Diane xx
