Tuesday 4 August 2026: Hello, August!

The year has flown so quickly already I’m determined to make some dents in my workload during August.

We do have a family wedding to attend, and all the gubbins that goes with that, as well as having to take the dog to the dog-sitter for the day, and pick him up. Yes, it’s all on a Saturday, but I’ve yet to find an outfit to wear, both to the wedding itself and a pre-wedding family afternoon tea thing.

Way out of my wheel house!

We have builders here working on the garden this week, and next week the decorator is coming. My car is going in for its MOT on Friday. And when we get the van back, that needs to go in for its MOT too. But otherwise, I have a fair bit of month left. Let’s see how we go this time, eh?

  1. My August is head-down working, filled with deadlines, and not much out-and-about stuff after this week. I mean, that might change, but for now. . .

I do have a play reading to attend in a couple of weeks, an art opening at the end of this week, and a literary committee meeting that should have been last week, but was pushed to this week.

And too many deadlines. I’m hoping it won’t be too hot, so I can concentrate.
