Wednesday 1 July 2026: June wrap-up!

We expected to be moving house in May, but when it looked likely it would be June after all, I allocated time to a load of jobs that could easily be moved along to July or beyond.

It did turn out to be June, slap bang in the middle of the month, and work ground to a halt as the first job was to rag down the office.

I almost didn’t do any of the jobs on the list before packing up for the fortnight, but I did manage a few. I also cancelled a hospital appointment and moved it to November.

The biggest thing to happen in June, apart from moving house, was the Monkey Dust farewell gig, which was a smashing night. It was nice to see everyone one last time, and the poet’s first big step towards retirement.
