We have the best part of 2 weeks off during the month of May, though not necessarily at the same time. So I’ve had to squeeze a month’s work into about 3 full weeks, and I had to decide which novella would be Book 7 for the great novella challenge. Can you believe I’m on Book 7? I can’t!
From 5 May to 11 May, I’ll be trying to stay off all Meta-owned platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp. I don’t have Threads and I try not to use Messenger, although trying to tell people I don’t have Messenger on my phone is a waste of oxygen at times. BUT…I’ll be attempting to stay off them all.
I will, however, still be posting here during that time, and the posts will autopost to Facebook. I could pause them for a week, though, so at the time of writing, the jury’s still out.
It’s also our wedding anniversary today.
Hello, May!
We’re off on another road trip during May. I’m not going to go into detail because, you know, insurance. But it means I’ll be pre-writing and scheduling some posts for during that time. And it means a slightly shorter to-do list.
Here, then, is the plan:
- create graphic for Hello May
- create graphic for May wrap-up
- hair appointment
- (week) daily blog post
- finish client edit
- pre–write Book 7 for the Great Novella Challenge
- write Story 5 for 12 STORIES IN 12 MONTHS
- Monkey Dust admin
- share Diane’s gig list every Thursday
- weekly diary work
- Monkey Dust gig
- write Book 7 for the Great Novella Challenge
- write & schedule 4 book reviews
- quarterly newsletter
- publish 1 Wordsworth Short
- trip to Devon
- enjoy Whitsuntide
- WMG Publishing Study Along Gothic Writing: Assignment 2
- WMG Publishing Study Along Gothic Writing Workshop
- monthly schedule planning for June
- advance finances for June
- update 12-project spreadsheet (week) daily

May sounds packed, even with the trips. Enjoy.
