March seems to have flown by in a blur. I blinked, and here we are at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
I made some big decisions at the end of last month, such as bowing out of the 12 stories in 12 months challenge and putting the newsletter and the bookazine into mothballs.
But for some reason, I didn’t schedule in that bookazine and I clean forgot all about it.
I didn’t start the last 2 WMG workshops in the list below. Instead, I took a break from the depth writing learning bundle and stepped into writing into the dark, removing some scheduled tasks and replacing them with assignment work.
I’m currently on Week 4 of the Dark workshop, so I’ll be finishing that this week and into the next month before going back to the depth bundle.
At the same time, I ramped up things like reading time and household chores.
I started the client edit, but didn’t manage to finish it, so I didn’t get to invoice for it either, and I told the proofreading client straight away that as his book hadn’t come in when I’d expected it to, I wouldn’t be able to start it now until mid-April.
On the last-but-one day of the month, I replaced the 40-project spreadsheet with something I hope will be easier to maintain when I’m doing half that number of projects throughout the year. In fact, I merged the best parts of the 40-project spreadsheet into a new daily wordcount tracker so I can still see how each project is doing against forecast.
I managed just one of the Patreon & Medium posts. I’ll do the other 2 at the start of April.
We didn’t do any packing yet, but we did start on the decluttering. We need to ramp that up in April as well.
