My writing

As far as the plan for the month went, I didn’t get around to writing as much as I wanted of my own stuff. Yes, there are a few ticks below, but there are many, many more crosses.

  • Project Management for Writers – finish writing as many chapters as I can (< 9,000 words) ❎
  • Project Management for Writers – get the poet’s input on as many chapters as I can ❎
  • Night Crawler – publish 29 individual chapters (of 34, I’ll include the epilogue with Ch 34), one at a time, on Medium βœ…
  • Diary of a Scaredy Cat – publish 29 individual chapters (of 37, but some will be merged and others dropped), one at a time, on Medium βœ…
  • Republish 5 x Wednesday Writing Prompts on Medium βœ…
  • Publish Arrivederci Roma on Medium βœ…
  • Republish Twee Tales in paperback βœ…
  • Republish Twee Tales Too in paperback βœ…
  • Republish Twee Tales Twee in paperback ❎
  • Think about the 1,000 followers competition βœ…
  • Plan The Two of Wands short story ❎
  • Plan The Ace of Cups short story ❎
  • Write The Two of Wands (3,500 words) ❎
  • Plan The Ace of Swords short story ❎
  • Plan The Ace of Pentacles short story ❎
  • write 9,000 words for The Beast Within ❎
  • outline & query new finance series article #1 ❗(started)
  • outline & query new finance series article #2 ❎
  • outline & query new finance series article #3 ❎
  • outline & query new finance series article #4 ❎
  • outline & query new finance series article #5 ❎
  • write new finance series article #1 (2,000 words) ❎
  • write one new standalone short story (2,000 words) ❎

While the paperback publishing was down to technology not working, I now need to push harder on my own work in July.

Client work

I did, however, do all of the client jobs that were already in on 1 June:

  • write & submit blurb for ghostwriting book #4 (500 words) βœ…
  • finish & submit 3rd ghostwriting instalment, book #4 (20,000 words) βœ…
  • finish & submit bonus short story for ghostwriting client, book #4 (3,000 words) βœ…
  • start 1st ghostwriting instalment, book #5 (16,000 words) βœ…
Personal

My weight fluctuated up and down a bit, but by the end of my initial 6 weeks, I’d lost 5lb and achieved my first ‘body magic’ certificate – bronze award. The longest walk we managed was just 1Β½ miles.

  • lose weight βœ…
  • join Slimming World βœ…
  • increase walks to 2Β½ miles (carried over from last month) ❎

So, what did I end up doing for most of June? Most of it was extra work I hadn’t originally planned for. From the top:

Phew! Suddenly I don’t feel so inadequate.

I’m not going to do a last week/this week post this time. I don’t want anyone ODing on lists! Or not today at any rate.

Over to you …

… how did your June go?
